A Victorian brown leather horseshoe embossed collar box converted into a unique jewelry box with velvet lined ring storage lower level and removable soft velvet top tray with satin ribbon loops to make it easy to lift out. Signs of wear on original box board/paper lining and leather and matching velvet backing added to the buckle *end user should refrain from buckling to retain integrity of leather. Box interior and lid are board/printed paper in taupe/brown and new velvet is bright vivid cobalt blue with navy double faced satin ribbon on loops.
wear consistent with age & use - scuffs on exterior, fraying of board lining at top rim. The leather buckle was hanging on by a thread and has been reinforced but is no longer functional.
