Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
How will my order ship?
Most orders ship within a few business days, larger or delicate items may take longer to pack properly and may take a day or two longer.
Orders to US customers of $35 or more ship free by USPS first class mail, USPS Priority Mail, UPS ground, or another carrier of our choosing. All shipments include tracking.
Shipping options are available during checkout and are priced based on the weight of the shipment and distance from New York to your location.
Do you offer International Shipping?
For International orders you can shop through the Etsy. Items available for international shipping are limited due to size or fragility of some items creating greater risk during international transit. All international orders place through Etsy also ship with tracking and insurance that covers both loss and damage in transit.
Customs: International orders do not always include relevant customs so before placing order please take into account customs/duties that will be due upon arrival. In some cases Etsy will collect relevant VAT fees in advance and those will be noted during checkout.
What to do if an item arrives damaged?
On few unfortunate occasions, item(s) will arrive damaged- please reach upon receiving & discovering damage.
All my packages include both tracking & insurance - if an item arrives damaged the customer must be willing to provide photos of item & damage as well as packing material & box exterior necessary to file a claim/receive refund.
*Even if outside of box appears unmarked, a fragile item inside can break or be damaged by a drop. I use high crush strength boxes so the exterior may only show minor lines from a drop or crush.
Typically a claim takes several weeks - on occasion the shipper may ask for the item to inspect so customer must be willing to hold onto item or in very rarely to provide additional photos or item(s)
What Shipping and Packing Material do you use?
Great question! I like to keep things as sustainable as possible so I try to reuse boxes and packing material as much as possible. If I don’t have the appropriate materials to protect an item in shipping I will go ahead and purchase new. When purchasing new I’ll opt for products made of recycled material. If included, the handmade flower paper thank you is plantable!
How do you Price Vintage?
There are a lot of factors that go into pricing – for one we decided to include shipping in the price and so weight and size of package and our experience shipping (I also own a Made in USA sleepwear business!) help inform that, of course I also will often research vintage costs locally and online with other sellers, take into consideration the quality of the piece whether its rare or hard to find, whether its in mint condition or has damage, whether its a complete set all factor into my pricing.
Were do I find information on size and condition?
I’ve tried to include relevant measurements and condition notes in each product description but if something is missing or you have a question about size/weight of an item feel free to send me a message here or on etsy.
What does patina mean?
Patina usually refers to the oxidization (what happens when certain metals are exposed to moist air/humidity) of metal – on copper its blue/green/white, on brass and silver its brown/black. And sometimes it can describe the softened edges of wood or oil stains on wicker that come with frequent use/wear.
I personally love the wear/patina of vintage items, whether its brass or a basket it just feels more relaxed and adds instant warmth to a space.
