Gorgeous pair of earrings featuring large circular cabochon of petrified palm root below sterling silver bead and ball/post. Petrified palm root takes on different appearance depending on the angle it is cut. Petrified wood is no longer wood since the structure of wood has been replaced by crystals. The resulting patterns reflect the transformation of wood into stone. The cabochons in these earrings are predominantly black with taupe inclusions and have been cut and polished into round smooth discs.
